Exactly. 110% agree. Games are games. Nobody can tell another person what they feel is hardcore. I play mario platfromers more than anything yet im sure many people on here with the "hardcore" attitude dont.
Tell me a kid that plays animal crossing all day everyday or harvest moon all day everyday.....

Well the Nes was built for families. Check out the boxart of one. All FPS's and RTS's were on PC's while the nes and snes were building a huge CONSOLE community.
This crap about "hardcore" and what people perceive as "hardcore" really annoys me.

They play the exact same in SD as they would in HD, man you guys gotta stop this carry on over HD. Its really getting crazy.

So all the AAA games on the ps2 had over 100 million sales? The ps2 have 120 million or so consoles out there so does that mean every game sells over 100 million.
On a side note if the ps2 had so many hardware sales why didnt they carry on to the ps3. Since the ps2 only have hardcore gamers. *Cough*

On the HD twins, yes. Not so much on the wii.
I wasnt dissing mario (why would i do that!). I was saying people still want a 2D sonic just like people still wanted a 2D mario.

Because sonic 2D should still be awesome. That is where the hedgehog belongs. He couldnt fit into the 3d world like mario did. Many games have gone a similar fate ie Bubsy, and Earthworm jim.
Some 2D games should just be 2D. Although if sega does drop the ball on something that SHOULD be awesome then it will be doomsday for the little blue guy.

Actually the graphics of the DS resemble the n64 (hence launch title mario 64!..couldnt play that on a PSone). So imagine how bad the PS graphics would be to you.
